SELLING A CLAIM
How to sell a Terra bankruptcy claim
Start with your claim status and amount, request a written purchase offer, verify the buyer and review the transfer terms. A completed sale requires the checks and documents applicable to your claim; submitting a website form does not transfer it.
1. Prepare the claim information
Locate your determination and relevant supporting records. Check the claimant’s name, claim amount, status and whether rights have already been assigned or payments received. Keep original records available for verification.
2. Compare the whole offer
Ask who the legal purchaser is. Compare the amount you would receive, the rights being sold, closing conditions, costs and payment timing. A referral site and the counterparty named in the purchase agreement may be different organizations.
3. Review verification and transfer terms
The purchaser may require identity and ownership checks. Confirm the exact documents and secure delivery method before sending them. Never send a seed phrase, private key or portal password.
Read the transfer agreement, including payment obligations and any conditions or retained rights. Get independent advice if a term is unclear. Do not assume that another bankruptcy case’s procedures apply to Terraform Labs.
4. Keep the closing record
Retain the signed agreement, payment record and any transfer notices. Confirm who is responsible for each filing or notification under the process applicable to your claim.
At Terraloss, you can request an offer with your claim amount and contact details, or start with a question if the amount is unclear. We review your information before confirming whether a purchase offer is available.
